Fees, Payments, Tips & Donations
It is preferred that you pay by either direct bank transfer or cash to avoid transfer and conversion fees often charged by other methods. We discourage PayPal payments to reduce transfer costs (see below).
Concessionary rates are available for student Counsellors who want to explore personal therapy. As a previous counselling lecturer, I thoroughly enjoy supporting the personal growth and development of the next generation of therapists.

Cancelling or Rescheduling with more than 24 hours' notice normally attracts no fee*

Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice normally attracts a half-session fee.*

Making a payment
Cash £ Sterling or Direct bank transfers in £ Sterling are preferred: Direct Bank transfer details are shared in the contract and welcome pack. You will usually receive this information via text to clients or funder before their 1st session.

Payments should be made before the session starts (or at the start of the session if paying cash). An automatic invoice will be shared for any outstanding payments.

Please note that future appointments can only be booked if previous sessions are paid in full.

Whichever payment method you use, payments must be received in full to the equivalent cash value in pounds sterling (see hourly rate).
If paying by PayPal, credit card or a different currency, you agree to cover additional transfer/conversion fees. If paying via PayPal, you can pay either £50 if you select 'paying a friend' or £51.80 if you select 'paying a business' as PayPal charges (1.5% + £0.30). If paying £75, then it's £75 if you select 'paying a friend' or £76.43 if you select 'paying a business'.
There are no additional fees for paying cash, direct bank transfer, or via PayPal if you select 'paying a friend'.
